How do you know if you have a hormonal imbalance?
It can be difficult sometimes to differentiate some conditions such as depression, blood sugar problems or a nutrient deficiency with a hormonal issue whereas other hormone issues can be quite evident such as with menopause.
Hormone changes can cause a variety of diffuse symptoms such as low energy, weight changes, hair loss, puffy eyes, joint pain, menstrual irregularities, blood glucose fluctuations, insomnia, anxiety, and the list goes on.
We can help evaluate hormone changes via a variety of test methods or questionnaires. Commonly we will look at sex hormones, adrenals, thyroid, DHEA, melatonin, growth hormone and several of these hormone pathway metabolites.
Testing can be useful for determining the area of weakness hormonally but also for looking at preventative health issues such as osteoporosis and hormone sensitive cancer risks.
